How to Make Perfect White Chocolate Raspberry Milkshake

A Thick Creamy White Chocolate Raspberry Milkshake created with fresh frozen raspberries, rich white chocolate, and raspberry ice cream, served in a glass with a festively dusted rim and topped with fluffy whipped cream and a fresh raspberry.

In recent years, milkshakes have been all the rage at upmarket confectioneries. From decorating the rims of the glasses with festive sprinkles to filling them to the brim with doughnuts, cheesecake, cupcakes, and other sweets! It’s as if Mount Olympus of caloric carbohydrates were delivered to your table.

as enjoyable as it looks…it seems like a LOT! Have you encountered them?

I’m always astonished that they can get that much on top of a glass! I’m simply glad I’m not the waitress that has to carry it… because, in actuality, my customers would wear that shake out of the store.

Since it has been established that I am rather wary of the enormous, calorie-laden milkshakes…

Let’s discuss the festive “edge of the glass”!

I love beverages with gorgeous decorated rims! From flavoured sugars and slices of fruit to the newest trend… of utilising multicoloured fun sprinkles! You can adhere the lovely confetti to the edges of a glass using a variety of “editable adhesives,” including corn syrup and my personal favourite, marshmallow fluff.

In the blender’s base, combine 3/4 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream. As the whipped cream is blended into the milkshake, it thickens it.

I anticipate you will inquire, therefore I will tell you…

I use a KitchenAid Blender. It has incredible strength and creates the BEST milkshakes. It is a workhorse! I will include a link to this incredible blender in the recipe card. This is not an advertisement… merely sharing what I enjoy!

TIP: When making a shake or smoothie, always start with the liquids in the bottom of the blender. It enables the blender to perform its function by blending the thicker ingredients with the liquids underneath the blades.

Add four cups or four generous scoops of White Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream. One large scoop is roughly equal to one cup. Therefore, flex your ice cream scooping skills and get to work!

Add 1 cup of frozen raspberries to the mix. If you don’t have frozen raspberries, you may use fresh, but I like to use frozen to make the shake extra thick!

Blend on Medium to High Speed until the consistency is creamy and smooth. You may have to stop once or again to give it a little stir, but the ingredients will eventually combine. If the consistency is too thick, add a few extra splashes of milk until you reach the appropriate consistency.

At the end of the blending process, incorporate the fresh raspberries. Stop THE MIXER!

This enhances the colour and adds a little raspberry taste of “pop” from the juice.

Just below the rim of the prepared milkshake glasses, add the Raspberry Milkshake mixture. If you intend to add whipped cream to the top, you should leave a bit of room so that the weight of the whipped cream does not cause the milkshake to spill out of the glass.

Decoratively garnish milkshakes with a dollop of whipped cream, a fresh raspberry, and a sprig of mint. Don’t forget to include the paper straw!

Friends, this is a swoon-worthy shake! Rich, viscous, and bursting with the tastes of luscious, juicy raspberries and sweet white chocolate. It expresses love to your taste buds and stomach!

I cannot wait to prepare these delicious shakes for my grandkids! They scream “EXCITING times ahead!” Wouldn’t your “little ones” like this Valentine’s Day treat? Pass on the tea party and attend the milkshake party instead.

A family Valentine’s Day dinner could include a pizza in the shape of a heart and these delicious milkshakes!

    Ingredients

    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 4 cups, or large scoops, white chocolate raspberry ice cream
    • 1 cup frozen raspberries
    • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
    • Whipping Cream for Garnish
    • 4 fresh berries and mint leaves for Garnish
    • 2 Tablespoons Marshmallow Fluff
    • 1/4 cup Sprinkles for Rim Garnish

    Instructions

    • Coat the rims of four milkshake glasses with marshmallow fluff using your finger or a butterknife. The marshmallow fluff should extend about 1/2 inch down the outside of the glass and down the top of the rim. Holding the glass over a large basin, sprinkle festive sprinkles or flavored sugar crystals on each coated rim. Set aside glasses while preparing the milkshake.
    • Pour the milk and heavy cream into the blender’s base. Add frozen fruit and ice cream. Blend on low for two minutes, followed by two minutes on high, until everything is thoroughly combined and smooth. If the shake is too thick for your taste, add additional milk until it reaches the required consistency. Add fresh raspberries and thoroughly combine them again.
    • Pour the raspberry milkshake into the glasses that have been prepared. Garnish with whipped cream, a fresh raspberry, and a mint leaf.
