Nutella can be eaten on toast, with fruit, or on a crêpe. (Let alone scooping it from the jar.) Two more ways to enjoy the chocolate hazelnut spread.
Two new products are being released in the US to celebrate World Nutella Day, a fan-created holiday on Feb. 5. According to a Ferrero North America press release, both products are "already beloved by thousands across the world" despite being new to Americans.
Nutella B-Ready, the first item, has a light, crispy wafer shell filled with Nutella and puffed wheat crisps. The individually wrapped, bar-shaped snack will be sold in 2-count packs for $1.89 or 6-count packs for $3.99 at major retailers. This spring, major club stores will sell a 36-count pack for $13.99.
Nutella Biscuits are golden cookies filled with creamy Nutella. Each biscuit has a "n"-stamped heart, resembling a sandwich cookie. A 20-count resealable bag of cookies will cost $4.79. If your mouth is watering, both new items are available nationwide and online this month.
Nutella's first new U.S. products in 11 years are B-Ready and Biscuits. Nutella & GO!, a snack pack with breadsticks and Nutella, was released in 2012. Pretzels and multigrain breadsticks with oats and blueberries debuted in 2021.
"We are thrilled to launch Nutella B-Ready and Nutella Biscuits in the U.S., two products that have already received love and accolades across the globe," said Noah Szporn, senior vice president of spreads at Ferrero North America.
"In honour of World Nutella Day, a fan-created holiday, we are excited to double our U.S. portfolio and give our loyal fans two new ways to enjoy their favourite hazelnut spread."
The cookie aisle has more than Nutella's new snacks. Oreo announced its latest limited-time flavour last week. The new "Most Oreo Oreo" cookie has two chocolate wafers sandwiching "Most Stuf" creme with ground-up Oreo pieces.
